« Gravy
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Flour
- 1 finely sliced onion
- 1 pint veg stock (a pint of boiling water with a stock cube mixed in)
- a couple of drops of gravy browning
Method
- Melt the knob of butter in a saucepan
- Sweat the onion for at least 10 minutes until it’s soft
- Stir in the flour
- Stir in the stock slowly so it thickens before adding more
- Add the gravy browning (careful or it will end up looking like chocolate sauce)
